General Info

Nestled in the heart of the Inner Sunset at 1310 Noriega St, San Francisco, Pho Ga is a Vietnamese restaurant that makes comfort food feel like a warm hug. From the moment you step inside, the aromas of simmering broths and char-grilled meats hit you, setting the stage for a menu that truly celebrates authentic flavors. One standout is the rare beef noodle soup, or pho tai, where tender slices of beef cook gently in a fragrant, steaming broth, perfectly balanced with fresh herbs and chewy rice noodles. Every spoonful carries a depth that instantly makes you feel at home.

If you’re craving something hearty and satisfying, the Chicken Meat and Giblets Noodle Soup is another favorite. It’s rich without being heavy, with tender chicken pieces and subtle spices that linger pleasantly on the palate. For those who enjoy a touch of char, the Grilled Pork with Vermicelli and Charbroiled Pork Chop with Rice deliver a smoky, savory flavor that pairs beautifully with the light, refreshing textures of vermicelli or the simple comfort of steamed rice. Adding a perfectly fried egg on top elevates the dish, introducing a silky richness that ties everything together.

Pho Ga isn’t just about the food-it’s also about convenience and accessibility. Onsite services make dining a relaxed experience whether you’re in for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, and the restaurant also offers delivery for days when you’d rather enjoy these flavors at home. NFC mobile payments are accepted, making checkout smooth and hassle-free, while reservations are welcome for larger groups, ensuring everyone can enjoy the vibrant menu without a wait.

The vibe of Pho Ga feels both casual and inviting, ideal for anyone looking for a genuine Vietnamese meal in San Francisco. Whether it’s the comforting noodle soups, the char-grilled dishes, or the little extras like a perfectly cooked fried egg, each item is thoughtfully prepared. Regular patrons often mention the balance of flavors and the homey feel of the space, which makes returning for another visit feel like visiting a familiar friend. The combination of classic dishes, attentive service, and flexible options creates a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable.

From the first bite of pho tai to the last forkful of grilled pork, Pho Ga makes it easy to appreciate Vietnamese cuisine at its most authentic. The careful attention to each dish, along with the convenience of modern payment options and delivery, ensures that both locals and visitors can enjoy a meal that’s hearty, flavorful, and unmistakably comforting. What customers say?

“ Pho Ga is such a comforting stop when you’re craving a hearty bowl of chicken pho. We ordered both the classic pho ga and the curry pho ga, along with an order of egg rolls to share. The regular pho ga had a clean, soothing broth — light but still flavorful, with tender slices of chicken and noodles that were soft and easy to slurp. It’s the kind of bowl that feels nourishing without being overly salty or greasy. The curry pho ga, on the other hand, was the standout for me. The broth was golden, aromatic, and layered with a subtle richness from the curry — something you don’t often find at most pho shops. It’s hearty and unique but still maintains that pho comfort factor. Egg rolls came out hot and crispy, perfect with the dipping sauce and pickled veggies on the side. Service was quick and efficient, even though the restaurant was buzzing during lunch. Overall, a reliable spot for chicken pho lovers, and the curry pho is absolutely worth a try if you’re looking for something a little different. Solid 4/5 in my book — satisfying, flavorful, and a place I’d happily revisit when the craving strikes. ”

“ Tried pho ga, Hue spicy brisket noodle soup, and imperial rolls. Pho ga was great! But if you’re craving something other than that, choose your restaurant wisely. ”

“ We ordered the rare beef pho and I got the grilled chicken & imperial roll with vermicelli. One thing I noticed was that there are no small or large size bowls options of pho on the menu--it's just one size. Our orders came quickly and right away our bowl of noodles were pretty big. I thought the portion was generous; lots of noodles and meat & the broth was very flavorful. The chicken bun was also very good, served with a nice balanced portion of lettuce. I added the sauce, mixed it and it was so delicious. ”

“ Nice restaurant with clean bathrooms and decent food. We had the chicken pho which was good with a flavorful soup. We also had the grilled pork with egg and imperial rolls. The pork was ok but the rolls were kind of bland. The prices were higher but the portions were not big especially given the price. For locals. It’s not bad but there are better. ”

“ This modest Vietnamese restaurant delivers the goods. You can get a delicious bowl of Pho from this place in the Sunset. The beef is of good quality and they have a respectable bone broth. Perfect for a late night snack. The price is reasonable although the portions are a bit a bit small compared to other Pho houses. All in all, good stuff. ”

“ I came here with my family for a simple birthday dinner. It was my first time here and I was a bit nervous about the food, but I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! I ordered their #19, bun bo hue. I liked it, but was disappointed on how inconsistent it was in the spice level. Several of us ordered the BBH and you could tell each bowl had a different spice level from the red flakes and spicy oil amounts in each bowl. It has a good amount of blood jelly in it, so that was a plus! Service was great! They were very accommodating with the kids by offering them water right away instead of tea, which were for the adults. They also allowed us to order a plain pho without any garnish for the children along with small bowls with plastic utensils. The interior kind of has a hole in the wall vibe to it, which is what I was fine for me for my birthday celebration because I wanted something low key and inexpensive. Our total for 9 people (this includes 2 small children) was ~$140, not including tips, so not bad at all for dinner! There is parking in front, but that fills up quickly from the nearby dessert and boba places, but you can also find more parking around the corner too! Great spot for a chill/low key and inexpensive dinner! I would love to be back to try some of their pho. ”

“ High quality charbroiled pork with vermicelli and beef sandwiches. Brief atmosphere note: There are paintings on the walls and there is positive jazz music playing in the background. It is a decent restaurant to spend time with a neighbor. ”

“ I ordered the five spicy chicken rolls which were not spicy and the Hue spicy beef, pork, and ham noodle soup. The noodle soup was very good and I would definitely order again. Rolls were nice and tasted fresh. The place was pretty busy with a lot of to go orders and dine in customers but the place was not packed. Food came out pretty fast. Service could have been better and would say it is on the average side. ”
